Export to ChatGPT
Brand Kit OS lets you export your entire brand kit as a Custom GPT configuration optimized for OpenAI's ChatGPT. The export wizard walks you through a multi-step process to create a comprehensive brand instruction file.
How the Export Wizard Works
The ChatGPT Custom GPT export uses a guided wizard with these steps:
Step 1: Select Sections
Choose which parts of your brand kit to include in the export. Each section shows a completeness indicator so you can see how much data is available:
- Brand Core — Mission, vision, taglines, brand story
- Personality — Values, traits, principles, moods
- Expression — Voice, tone, visual and verbal style
- Governance — Constraints, compliance, usage guidelines
- Target Audience — Audience personas and demographics
- Products & Services — Product catalog with pricing and USPs
- Competitors — Competitive landscape data
- AI Personas — Custom persona configurations
- SEO — Keywords and tags
Step 2: Select Persona
Choose which AI persona should be used as the voice for the export. If you have multiple personas configured, select the one most appropriate for the ChatGPT use case.
Step 3: Knowledge Files
Select which reference files to include with your export:
- Library Templates — Auto-generated files based on your brand kit data (e.g., Brand Overview, Tone Guide)
- User Uploads — Documents you've manually uploaded to your brand kit
For each file, you can:
- Preview it using the eye icon to see its contents
- Edit inline and click "Save for this export" to customize content for this specific export without changing the source file
Step 4: Restrictions & Preferences
Configure any specific restrictions or preferences for how the GPT should behave, such as topics to avoid or formatting preferences.
Step 5: Review & Export
Review your selections and generate the export. The result includes:
- A formatted instruction file ready to paste into ChatGPT's Custom GPT configuration
- Knowledge files packaged for upload
Export History
Every export is saved to your export history. You can:
- View previous exports from the export card on the Export page
- Re-export with the same settings
- Check for staleness — if your brand kit data has changed since the last export, a warning icon appears indicating the export may be outdated
Tips
- Include as many completed sections as possible for the most comprehensive GPT
- Use the quick view to verify knowledge file content before including it
- Re-export after making significant brand kit changes to keep your GPT current
