    Upload Knowledge Files

Knowledge files are reference documents that can be included in your brand kit exports. They provide additional context to AI systems beyond the structured brand kit data.

    Types of Knowledge Files

    Library Templates

Library templates are auto-generated files based on your brand kit data. They are maintained by the platform and update as your brand kit evolves. Examples include:

    • Brand Overview — A synthesized summary of your brand identity
    • Tone & Voice Guide — Compiled from your Expression section data
    • Product Catalog — Generated from your Products & Services entries

Library templates are shared across all brand kits and cannot be edited at the source level. However, you can customize them per-export using the "Save for this export" feature.

    User Uploads

User uploads are documents you provide manually. These can include:

    • Style guides (PDF, DOCX)
    • Brand guidelines documents
    • Product documentation
    • Competitive analysis reports
    • Any reference material relevant to your brand

    Managing Knowledge Files

Adding Files to Your Brand Kit

    1. Navigate to your Brand Kit → Knowledge Files section
    2. Browse available library templates and toggle which ones to include
    3. Upload your own documents using the file upload area
    4. Set a custom reference name for each file to help AI systems understand its purpose

    Quick View & Editing

Within any export wizard (ChatGPT, Claude, Markdown), you can:

    1. Click the eye icon next to any knowledge file to preview its contents
    2. View the full text content in a dialog
    3. For user uploads, click "Save to source" to update the original file
    4. Click "Save for this export" to create an export-specific version without modifying the original

    Including Files in Exports

Each knowledge file has an "Include in export" toggle. When enabled, the file will be available for selection in export wizards. You can override this per-export by selecting or deselecting files in the wizard's knowledge files step.

    Best Practices

    • Keep files focused — Each file should cover a specific topic rather than being a general dump
    • Use descriptive reference names — These help AI systems understand the file's purpose
    • Review before export — Use the quick view feature to verify content is current
    • Leverage templates — Library templates automatically stay in sync with your brand kit data
